Singapore Zoo
It has been a year since we last visited the Singapore Zoo. Our main motive this round was not actually into animals “window-shopping” but to visit the Rainforest Kidzworld.

I didn’t even notice that the Zoo has changed its logo until today ha-ha. (It used to be an elephant logo with the name of Singapore Zoological Garden, am I correct?)

We have reached the Rainforest Kidzworld!

One could really tell that the owner of the Kidzworld has put in a lot of effort (and money too of course) in decorating the entrance vicinities. Thumbs up!

This is a lonely ride indeed…not a single kid before we entered and exit from the Rainforest Kidzworld.

“Please ride me!” These are the poor animals waiting for some curious kids.

OMG. Is this the “Wild-Wild-Wet” or a Zoo?!

Luckily I had brought along a swimming costume for Prisca. But unfortunately, we didn’t bring along our swimming gears too which really restraint us to enjoy the fullest fun at this place. But who would expect a Zoo could have this large area of fun and wet playscape? Ha-ha.

These children are really having great fun enjoying the splashing of water and getting themselves wet.
BEWARE for those parents who do not want to get REAL wet! When you hear “ding-ding…” sound, run for your life and out of the central playscape area with a big elephant bucket! Watch the movie and you will know why. Ha-ha.

After playing in the wet place, we had a quick bite at the KFC and continue our next exploration in the Rainforest Kidzworld. This is the mini-farm where children could have some close-encounter with farm animals such as goats, rabbits, guinea pigs etc.

This pony’s stable really gives off a strong pungent “aroma” which prevents anyone from getting too nearer. Don’t know why, I have a feeling that tells me that these ponies are sad and not happy.

There is a “Kampong House” inside the vicinity. At first glanced; I thought that it was a resting room for parents to take a nap ha-ha.

We entered this Kampong House and saw this ‘ghastly’ uncle sitting down using the type writer. At first, I thought that he was real but it came out to be a wax dummy!

Prisca looks stunned when she sees this “Ah Por” sitting down and enjoying her TV show. These wax dummies are really eerie, to be frank ha-ha. Just imagine they come “alive” at night and start walking around in the Rainforest Kidzworld ha-ha!

This is the very old type of TV. It’s a black and white TV if I’m correct (the brand is “National”).

These are the ‘ancient games’ that the older generation kids used to play (e.g. top, paper ball, parachute, etc.).

Can you see the airplane chess behind? This is one of my favourite games in class after the exam period (where students are allowed to play chess and games to wind down the tension of exam ha-ha. The other most popular games were ‘Donkey’ and ‘Old Maid’).
There are hidden “treasures” behind the WET place in the Rainforest Kidzworld. It is another fun and DRY area for the kids. It is a place to test your child’s agility, balancing skill and promote teamwork. Do not miss it!

“Weee….I can fly.”

This is the largest See-Saw board that I have ever seen. It’s extremely thrilling for the family.

These are the balancing beams to let your child to gain confident and reduce the fear of heights.

This is the Wobble Bridge. It’s really exciting for a kid I guess. But parents do stand by to grab your kids just in case they loose their steps.

This is the Hula Bridge. It is safer then the Wobble Bridge as it has hula-railings at each stage.

This is the “Flying-fox” gadget which I had written about in the blog title “Sunplaza Park”. There are 3 sets in here. It’s an exciting game for older children.

This is really new to us. It is a river boat where it focuses on teamwork to pull the raft from one end to the other end.

This was last place that we had explored. All of us were really dog-tired. It’s the boat ride (Adult: S$5, Child: S$2.50).

We took the “Ah Meng” which stopped steering at the middle of the reservoir. We waited for the “Omar” to rescue us; and the whole process took about 1hr. We really enjoyed being “trapped” in the open reservoir actually as we can relax alittle; and it was really worth back the ticket price too ha-ha.
We will be back soon Singapore Zoo!
